Terms & Conditions

Last updated: April 8, 2026

Welcome to the Oakridge Park Dental website (oakridgeparkdental.ca). By accessing or using this website and our dental services, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

1. Appointments & Cancellations

We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling. Failure to provide sufficient notice may result in a missed-appointment fee. We make every effort to start your appointment on time; however, delays may occasionally occur due to unforeseen clinical circumstances. We appreciate your understanding.

2. Payment

Payment is due at the time of service. We accept cash, debit, Visa, Mastercard, and American Express. A detailed invoice will be provided for your records.

3. Insurance

Oakridge Park Dental is a non-assignment office. Payment is collected at the time of your visit, and we provide you with a detailed receipt that you can submit to your benefits provider for reimbursement. Please bring your benefits information with you to your appointment. You are responsible for understanding your coverage, co-payments, and deductibles.

4. Patient Information

You are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about your medical and dental history. We maintain the confidentiality of your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of British Columbia.

5. Treatment & Informed Consent

Our dentists will discuss treatment options with you and obtain your informed consent before proceeding. You have the right to ask questions, seek a second opinion, and make informed decisions about your dental care. Treatment outcomes may vary between patients, and no specific results are guaranteed.

6. SMS/Text Message Communications

By opting in to receive SMS/text messages from Oakridge Park Dental, you consent to receive messages related to appointment reminders, confirmations, follow-up care instructions, and occasional practice updates. You understand and agree to the following:

  • Consent is voluntary. Opting in to SMS communications is not a condition of receiving dental services. You may choose not to receive text messages and still receive care at our practice.
  • Message frequency varies. The number of messages you receive will depend on your appointment schedule and care needs. We do not send unsolicited marketing messages.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Standard text messaging rates from your wireless carrier may apply. Oakridge Park Dental is not responsible for any charges from your carrier.
  • How to opt out. You may opt out of SMS communications at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us, or by contacting our office directly at 604-266-5313 or [email protected]. We will process your opt-out request within 5 business days.
  • How to get help. Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact our office directly.
  • Privacy. Your phone number and messaging data are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, share, or rent your phone number to third parties for marketing purposes.

This SMS policy is compliant with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and applicable regulations administered by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC). For U.S.-based patients, this policy also adheres to the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) requirements.
